Reimagining Public-Private Partnerships

Minimizing Systemic Risk and Transforming National Cybersecurity Resilience

Public and private partnerships are critical to cybersecurity resilience and need of an overhaul.

MeriTalk and RSA Conference conducted a survey of 100 Federal and private sector cybersecurity decision-makers to explore the effectiveness of public-private partnerships today, understand the key perception gaps, and gain insights to recommendations on strengthening collaboration and cyber resilience in the year ahead.

Below are just a few key findings:

  • Just one in three (34%) cyber decision-makers believe public-private partnerships are very effective
  • Seven in ten (69%) cyber decision-makers feel there is still some reticence in their organization around cyber information sharing
  • Only 41% of private sector cyber decision-makers feel they have a direct line to a government agent/agency when needed
  • Nearly all (97%) cyber decision-makers feel a successful public-private partnership is key to their organization’s cyber resilience
